HOW TO ENTER: Beginning approximately October 1, 2004, while supplies last, purchase a specially marked package of ScotTowels ® paper towels and look inside the specially marked package to find a promotional insert containing a unique . Visit www.BigMess.ca, fill out the questionnaire and find out if your code is a winner. Contest closes with prize claims received by March 1, 2005, the Contest Closing Date.

To participate with NO PURCHASE NECESSARY, clearly print your name, mailing address and a telephone number on a plain piece of paper along with a minimum 100-word essay telling us what brand of paper towels you purchase and why to ScotTowels Big Mess Makeover, No Purchase Request, Toronto Postal Station A, PO Box 911, Toronto, Ontario M5W 1G5. Limit: one (1) request per mailing envelope per household, per month. You will receive back in the mail an insert with a potentially winning alpha-numeric code. All requests must be received by February 1, 2005 and become the property of Scott Paper Limited.

IF YOU DO NOT HAVE ACCESS TO THE INTERNET: If you do not have access to the Internet and still want to participate, after finding a promotional insert inside specially marked packages of ScotTowels paper towels, photocopy your insert with the alpha-numeric code and keep for your reference. Mail the original along with your name, address, daytime telephone number to ScotTowels Big Mess Makeover, Code Verification Request, Toronto Postal Station A, PO Box 911, Toronto, Ontario M5W 1G5 . The judging authority will enter your alpha-numeric code on your behalf and advise you if it is a winner. Further correspondence will take place only if your alpha-numeric code is a winner. Scott Paper is not responsible for any submissions that are lost, late or misdirected.

TO PARTICIPATE IN THE FREE MAGAZINE OFFER: Simply complete the redemption form found on the promotional insert or clearly print your name, mailing address, telephone number and the name and location of the store where you made your ScotTowels purchase on a piece of paper and mail with 3 proofs of purchase to ScotTowels Big Mess Makeover, Free Magazine Offer, Toronto Postal Station A, PO Box 911, Toronto, Ontario M5W 1G5. You will receive via return mail a To The Dealer coupon redeemable at the store where you made your original purchase for a free magazine of your choice up to a maximum value of $5.00 CAD including taxes.

ELIGIBILITY: This promotion is open to residents of Canada who have reached the age of majority in their province of residence. You are not eligible if you are an employee of Scott Paper Limited, ("The Sponsor"), its affiliates, subsidiaries, parent or related companies, advertising or promotional agencies, the independent contest judging organization or a member of the immediate family or household of any such employee. For these Rules, "immediate family" means spouse, mother, father, sisters, brothers, sons and daughters.

PRIZES: There are ten (10) Grand Prizes available to be won, each consisting of $35,000 CAD, payable by cheque to the winner. The Grand Prizes are not transferable and must be accepted as awarded. The approximate odds of winning a Grand Prize at the outset of the promotion are 1:170,000. Number of prizes available to be won will diminish as prizes are redeemed.

There are also one hundred (100) Secondary Prizes available to be won, each consisting of a Cuisinart Gourmet Collection which includes one (1) seven-cup Cuisinart Food Processor Model DLC-2007C, one (1) seventeen inch Cookie Baking Sheet AMB-17CSC, one (1) nine inch Spring Form Pan AMB-9SPC and one (1) nine inch Square Cake Pan AMB-9CKC. HOW TO CLAIM A PRIZE: If, after checking on the website, you are advised that your alpha-numeric code is a winner, make a photocopy of your insert and retain it for your records and send the original promotional insert with the winning code (we suggest by courier or registered mail) along with your name, address and daytime telephone number via registered mail to: ScotTowels Big Mess Makeover, Toronto Postal Station A, PO Box 911, Toronto, Ontario M5W 1G5. Upon receipt of the insert, the judging organization will validate the submission. No mechanically reproduced entries will be accepted. To be declared a winner, you must correctly answer, without mechanical or other assistance, a mathematical skill-testing question administered by mail. All prize claims must be received by March 1, 2005. Fraud detection devices may be placed on the participating inserts. Any insert that has been forged, mechanically reproduced, altered, defaced, mutilated or tampered with in any way, contains printing or other errors or has been obtained through unintended or unauthorized channels is void. Decisions of the judges are final. No more than the above listed prizes will be awarded. Prizes not redeemed will not be awarded.

RELEASES: Each winner will be required to sign a Declaration of Compliance with Official Rules and a Publicity / Liability Release, releasing the Sponsor, its affiliates, subsidiaries, parent and related companies, advertising and promotional agencies, the independent judging organization and all of their respective directors, officers, owners, partners, employees, agents, representatives, successors and assigns (collectively, the "Releasees") from any liability in connection with this contest or a prize. Declaration and release documents must be returned within ten (10) business days of the date on the notification or the prize may be forfeited. By accepting a Prize, each winner consents to the use of his/her name, address, voice, statement and photograph or other likeness for any publicity by the Sponsor, without further compensation.

GENERAL: Entrants who have not complied with these Official Rules are subject to disqualification. The Sponsor and the other Releasees are not responsible for incomplete, illegible, damaged, lost, delayed or postage-due claims, or claims that are irregular, have been submitted through illicit means or do not conform with or satisfy any or all conditions of these Official Rules. Any such claims will be judged void. By entering, each entrant agrees to abide by the Official Rules and the decisions of the independent judging organization which shall be final and binding in all matters related to this contest.
